Gascoyne Aboriginal Heritage & Cultural Centre, Carnarvon WA
The Gwoonwardu Mia Touchtables are designed to give visitors to this permanent exhibition space a highly engaging and intuitive way of interacting with an expansive collection of images that trace the history of Aboriginal people in this region. With a background that mimics the topography and terrain in Carnarvon, a variety of animated creatures (turtle, dugong, galah, perentie, burrowing bee, etc) and the occasional storm sequence this interactive creates a dynamic focal point in the space. The interface also features an integrated collage tool that enables visitors to select, montage, and share historical and user-generated images.

World Heritage Centre, Blue Mountains NSW
Documenting the terrain and diverse range of flora and fauna found in The Greater Blue Mountains Area over a period of 12 months, Lightwell produced a five-screen video installation focusing on key landmarks and seasonal changes in this region. Combining panoramic sweeps and aerial shots with macro detail and textures, this 30 minute production is designed to provide visitors with an expansive look at these landscapes via large-scale projections that wrap around the gallery walls and onto the roof.
Accompanying the video installation are two multitouch interfaces that present detailed information about the tracks and trails that snake through this region and the plants and animals that belong in this place.

Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka, Ballarat Victoria
This ten-screen multitouch interactive portrays the events surrounding the Eureka Stockade and its impact on the idea of democracy in Australia. A seamless, gradually-changing landscape extends across all the screens, incorporating a series of animated collages constructed from a combination of historical and architectural images, portraits, objects, and collection management photographs.
Visitors can interact with the collages to find out more, read about what it was like on the Ballarat goldfields, examine historical documents and diaries, and play with interactive elements such as darting flocks of birds and waving grass.

Digital Labels, Museum Victoria
Visitors to the expansive First Peoples permanent exhibition at Melbourne Museum will encounter two stunning photographic and object displays – the Generations photo-wall and the Many Nations showcases. Lightwell worked closely with the client to develop a suite of intuitive digital label software that lets visitors quickly find interpretation and media for items of interest.
